Myrtle Mae Davis Freeman, 80, passed away Saturday January 3, 2015 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born June 26, 1934 in Yadkin County to the late William Fred and Sally Lineberry Davis. Mrs. Freeman loved racing, going to church, word searches, reading, going on vacations, and spending time with her grandkids. She was a member of Mt. Bethel Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard Dwight Freeman; a daughter Sherry Templeton; a sister Jean Broad, and a brother William Davis. Surviving are her children Angie (David) Bell, Allen Huff; grandchildren Ashley Bell (Ryan Atkins), Will Bell, Brittany (Brandon) Sargent, Jody Huff, Shannon Lovette, Allen (Ketura) Billings, Todd Templeton; nine great grandchildren; sister Ann Long; two brothers Bobby Davis, June Davis; several nieces and nephews; a K9 Companion Major. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday January 6, 2015 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Her funeral will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday January 7, 2015 at Union Cross Friends by Pastor Bobby Watts and Pastor Hobert Freeman. She will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family would like to say a special thanks to Ann Long, the staff of Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, friends and neighbors, Yadkin County EMS, and Fall Creek first responders for the loving care given to Mrs. Freeman.
