Carlie Clinton Renegar

Renegar Harmony- Mr. Carlie Clinton Renegar, 86, went home to be with the Lord on January 5, 2015. Mr. Renegar was born May 12, 1928 in Iredell County to the late Silas H. and Elizabeth Grose Renegar. He was a lifetime member of Liberty Baptist Church. Mr. Renegar owned and operated a local Bulldozing business for 20 years. He also worked in the Maintenance Department for Forsyth county school System for 15 years. Due to Mr. Renegar's strong work ethics, he concluded his working career at the Maintenance Department at the Davie County School System. Mr. Renegar enjoyed the outdoors, gospel music, and was a master gardener. He was a huge Atlanta Braves Fan who loved a good baseball game. His family will greatly miss his presence. Mr. Renegar is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Geneva N. Renegar; three children, Judy R. Burrell and husband, Jim; Ricky L. Renegar; and Teressa R. Higgins; 9 grandchildren, Angela, Kim, Aaron, Amy, Kristy, Christina, Jennifer, Candice, Michael; 18 great-grandchildren, Colin, Mason, Cedric, Brittany, Anthony, Haley, Alex, Tara, Carter, Breckin, Dakota, Logan, Hayden, Elijah, Emma, J.T., McKenzie and a special great-granddaughter, Chloe; and a sister, Betty Ruth R. Brown, and husband, Edward. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his 2 brothers, Odell Renegar and Alton Renegar; and by a sister, Nina R. Melton. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. His funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, January 9, 2015 at Liberty Baptist Church by Rev. Noel Hawks, Rev. Steve Hedgecock, and Rev. William Hutchens, officiating. He will lie in-state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the donors choice.
