Anna "Jeri" Harris Sasser

Yadkinville Mrs. Anna "Jeri" Geraldine Harris Sasser, 81, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Yadkin Nursing Center. Mrs. Sasser was born January 15, 1934 in Forsyth County to Ora and Hazel Long Harris. She was a member of Mtn. View Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sasser was preceded in death by her husband, Griffin Vasco Sasser; two sisters, Alice Judd and Carolyn O'Connor; and three brothers, Spencer, Norman, and James Harris. She is survived by two children, William (Kerry) Sanders and Traci Sasser (Tim Stombaugh); four grandchildren, Eli, Katy, Kyle, and Mabel; two sisters, Doris Carter and Judy Simmons; one brother, Earl Harris; many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted Sunday, January 18, 2014 at 3:00PM at Mtn. View Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 7th fl., New York, NY 10001. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to our family in North Carolina for all that they did to care for her through her prolonged illness.
