Lala Snow Doss

Doss Yadkinville - Lala Snow Doss, 92, went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 21, 2015. She was born April 24, 1922 in Surry County to the late William Abner Snow and Levora Williamson Snow. Lala attended Friendship Baptist Church as long as her health permitted. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Wayne Doss; sisters, Famie Snow, Norma Barber; brothers, Kermit Snow, Jim Snow, Buck Snow, Fonzo Snow, Foster Snow, Cleve Snow; granddaughter, Terri Brooks. Surviving are her children, Carol Spillman, Joe (Carolyn) Doss, Wanda Matthews, Tommy (Sylvia) Doss; sister, Thelma Jurney; brother, Spencer Snow; grandchildren, Tracey Spillman, Scott Doss, Brad (LuAnn) Doss, Greg (Annah)Matthews, Tina (Burl) Love, April Doss, Lisa Hensley, Dawn (John) Burrows; great grandchildren, Kali Brown, Sydney Rhoden, Jacob Doss, Taylor (Joseph) Vestal, Brett Doss, Ty Matthews, Zac Matthews, Emily Matthews, Brayden Love, Brenden Love, Michael Mason, MaKayla Mason. A celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville by the Rev. Brian Chilton and the Rev. Mark Elmore. Burial will follow at Siloam Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service on Saturday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Flowers accepted or memorials can be made to the Donor's Choice. The family would like to thank Yadkin Nursing Care Center, Nurses, caregivers, family, and friends for all the love and care shown to Lala.
