Weldon "Lee" Poindexter

Boonville Mr. Weldon "Lee" Poindexter Jr., 60, passed away Monday, January 26, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Poindexter was born April 14, 1954 in Yadkin County to Weldon and Sadie Hutchins Poindexter. He was a veteran of the US Army. Mr. Poindexter owned and operated Lee's Garage in Boonville for many years. In addition to his parents, Mr. Poindexter was preceded in death by a brother, Tony Poindexter. He is survived by two sons, Bradley (Ann) Poindexter and Daniel (Melissa) Poindexter; five grandchildren, Cheyenne Mayoka, Justin Poindexter, Mason Poindexter, Adalyn Poindexter, and Emalee Poindexter; three sisters, Shirley (John) Jennings, Debbie (William) Utt, and Betty (Gary) Wyatt; and brother, Benny (Linda) Poindexter; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted Friday, January 30, 2015 at 2:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service Chapel in Yadkinville. Burial will follow at Richmond Hill Baptist Church with full military honors provided by NC National Guard Honor Guard and Yadkin VFW Post 10346. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
