Iva Elette Shore Barnette

- Iva Elette Shore Barnette, 89, passed away Friday January 30, 2015. She was born December 2, 1925 in Iredell County to the late Daniel and Ada Southard Shore. She was a member of Holy Springs Baptist Church. Mrs. Barnette really enjoyed cooking for her family, making dolls, fishing, and bowling. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 62 years Woodrow William Barnette; thirteen siblings; three grandchildren; one great grandchild. She is survived by her children Ronnie (Linda) Barnette, Carolyn Novak, Jerry (Connie) Barnette, Glenda Shores; special granddaughter Rene (Billy) Reece; eleven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; a sister Lottie (Berlie) Brown. The family will receive friends from 2-3 Pm Monday February 2, 2015 at Holly Springs Baptist Church. Her funeral will be conducted at 3:00 PM following the visitation at the church by Rev. Cliff Gwaltney and Rev. Bobby Henderson. Burial will follow at Friendship Baptist Church. The family would like to say a very special thanks to the staff of Autumn Care of Mocksville and Hospice of Davie County for the loving care given to Mrs. Barnette.
