Ronald Eugene Dunsford

Dunsford Jonesville- Mr. Ronald Gene "Buddy" Dunsford, 72, of Cedar Forest Road passed away Monday, March 16, 2015 at his home. He was born July 12, 1942 in Jay, Florida to the late Eugene and Eva Mae Hudson Dunsford. Mr. Dunsford was retired from INCO in Alpharetta, Ga. and was a veteran of the US Army. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Georgia and a faithful member of Swan Creek Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Toby Dunsford. Surviving are his beloved wife of 28 years, Carol Swaim Dunsford, of the home; his loving children, Shelia Jolly, Jonesville; Michael (Lori) Armstrong of Mooresville; Crystal (Jason) Reavis of Hays; Tammy (Tommy) Dampier of Gainesville, Fla.; his grandchildren, Tiffany and Tori Dampier, Tony and Shana Jolly, Dakota Gentry, Justin and Jonah Reavis, Madison, Josh, Abigail and Jessika Armstrong; 2 great-grandchildren; brothers, Gary (June) Dunsford of Red Level, Al; Freddie (Mertice) Dunsford, Castleberry, Al; sister, Betty (Wayne) Dyess, Jay, Fla.; a special aunt, Anna Lee Jarvis, Jonesville; special uncle, Wayde (Pansy) Swaim of Ronda; and a sister-in-law, Kathy Morris. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday at Gentry Family Funeral Service on Little Mountain Road in Jonesville. His funeral service will be 2:00 PM Friday at Swan Creek Baptist Church by Rev. Scott Bishop. He will lie in-state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with full military honors by Yadkin VFW Post 10346 and the North Carolina National Guard Memorial Honor Guard.
