Julianna Kay Castle

Julianna (Anna) Kay Castle passed away on Monday, March 16th after a courageous life. Born on December 21, 2006, Anna touched many hearts from her immediate family to the caregivers who became like family. Anna enjoyed wearing bows in her hair, listening to music, cuddling with her family and her many trips to Disney! She will forever be loved and missed by her parents, Jamie Scott Castle and Jamie Elizabeth Castle, and her loving sister, Avery Castle. Anna is survived by her grandmother Amy Knight of Boonville, NC; grandparents Tom and Brenda Castle of Kernersville, NC; Great Grandmother Loanesse Ethridge of Collinsville, MS; great Uncle Larry Whitt of Boonville, NC; Aunts and Uncles: Leiann and Dane Hartman of Kernersville; Julie and Alex Bloom of Raleigh; and her adoring cousins, Tanner, Chase, and Layla Hartman, and Kate and Caroline Bloom. She was predeceased by her grandmother, Kay Castle. Over the years, Anna was given wonderful care by the nurses at Bayada Pediatrics - Christie White, Pamela Beck, Janet Parks and Doris Testerman - who became like family. The Castle Family would like to thank them for their help, support and friendship to Anna and the entire family. Additionally, the family would like to extend a special thank you to her pediatrician, Dr "A" Classen and her nurses and Doctors at Brenner Children's Hospital who came to know and care for Anna, including Dr. Lin, Dr. Chen and Dr. Safta. A celebration of Anna's life and family visitation will be held on Thursday, March 19th at 7:00 pm at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville, NC. The family will receive friends from 5:30-7:00 PM Thursday before the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Boonville Elementary School special education classes.
