Inez Callie Waddell

Yadkinville Mrs. Inez Callie Cheek Waddell, 88, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at Woltz Hospice Home. Mrs. Waddell was born January 31, 1927 in Yadkin County to D.W. and Oma Groce Cheek. She was a member of Jonesville First Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting, gardening and being outside. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Waddell was preceded in death by her loving husband, Vincent Athy Waddell; one brother, W.D. "Bill" Cheek; 4 infant siblings; and a brother-in-law, W.T. Shore. She is survived by three sons, Jerry (Gail) Waddell, Ronnie (Tammy) Waddell, and Myron (Sherry) Waddell; six grandchildren, Amber (Daniel) Tucker, Autumn (Jeff) Ormsby, Angie (Drew) Shore, Taylor Waddell, Matthew Waddell and Leah Waddell; five great grandchildren and 2 on the way; three sisters, Lois Cheek, Margaret Shore, and Athlene (Paul) Fulton; one brother, J.W. (Frankie) Cheek; a sister-in-law, Marie Cheek; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 2:00PM at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville with Rev. Randy Johnson and Rev. Paul Stewart officiating. Burial will follow at Sunrise Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mtn. Valley Hospice, PO Box 1267 Yadkinville NC 27055.
