Nola Julena Mitchell

Hamptonville Mrs. Nola Julena Wishon Mitchell, 91, passed away Monday, March 30, 2015 at Forsyth medical Center. Mrs. Mitchell was born November 21, 1923 in Yadkin County to George and Clara Belle Coleman Wishon. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Mitchell was preceded in death by her husband, Seth Thomas Mitchell; two sons, Larry Mitchell and Michael Mitchell; and two sisters, Zeola McCann and Matta Lee Bennett. She is survived by two sons, Dean (Geraldine) Mitchell and Ronnie (Patricia) Mitchell; five grandchildren, Bradley Mitchell, Shannon (Laura) Mitchell, Bridgett Whitaker, Matthew (Lindsey) Mitchell and Brandon Mitchell; two great grandsons, Jeremy Whitaker and Cody Whitaker; two daughters-in-law, Mary Swisher Mitchell and Gail Evans Mitchell; and several nieces. A funeral service will be conducted Thursday, April 2, 2015 at 2:00PM at Shiloh Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Holbrook and Rev. Steve Faw officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shiloh Baptist Church, 5532 Saint Paul Church Rd, Hamptonville, NC 27020. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Forsyth Medical Center and Yadkin Nursing Center for all the loving care given to Mrs. Mitchell.
