Yadkinville Mrs. Martha Gray Hauser Dinkins, 90, passed away Monday, March 30, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center. Martha was born October 8, 1924 in Yadkin County to Herman and Connie Douglas Hauser. She was a devoted member of Yadkinville First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school and prepared communion. In 1947, Martha married Charles Hugh Dinkins, who died December 5, 1997. Together, with Ray Reavis and W.G. Wooten Jr., they established Yadkin Lumber Company. In her later years, Martha loved working at the lumber company as long as her health permitted. Martha was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, sister and grandmother. A talented, creative homemaker and gardener, she had a gift for making beautiful quilts, afghans and baskets for her family and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Martha was preceded in death by a sister, Lucille Hauser Miller; and two brothers, Loyd Wilson Hauser and Carl Douglas Hauser. She is survived by two children, Ann D. (Joe) Park of Mt. Airy and Charles H. Dinkins of the home; two grandchildren, Emily Megan Park of Anchorage, Alaska and Charles Jason Park of White Plains; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted Thursday, April 2, 2015 at 2:00PM at Yadkinville First Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Eskew officiating. Burial will follow at Forbush Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville. The family would be honored to receive flowers, or memorials may be made to Yadkin Valley Home Health, 213 Winston Road Jonesville, NC 28642; to First Baptist Church of Yadkinville or to the cemetery fund of Forbush Baptist Church. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Mrs. Maria Garza and Miss Angelica Almaraz for their unfailing, tireless love and compassion. Thanks also to the staff of Forsyth Medical Center, Yadkin Valley Community Hospital, and Yadkin Valley Home Health for their outstanding medical care and many acts of kindness and thoughtfulness. A special thank you goes to all the employees at Yadkin Lumber Company, Yadkin County Emergency Services, Yadkinville Fire and Police Departments for all of their assistance during this difficult time.
