Gardner Hamptonville- Mr. Walter Justice Gardner, 91, of Key Street passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Willowbrook Healthcare. He was born March 3, 1924 in Yadkin County to the late Ed and Nellie Pettis Gardner. Mr. Gardner was a retired farmer and worked for several years at the C.C. Camp in Utah. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Hazel Brown Gardner on January 13, 2011; a son, Grady Gardner; by a sister, Beulah Brown; and by his brothers, John H. Gardner, Reuben Gardner, William Gardner, Clifton Gardner, and Maxton Gardner. Surviving are his children, Wayne (Bobbie) Gardner, Larry (Beth) Gardner, all of Hamptonville; Bill (Bobbie) Gardner, Courtney; a daughter-in-law, Kara Gardner; grandchildren, Sandra (Michael) Reavis, Steven (Robin) Gardner, Robert (Dusty) Gardner, Chelsey Gardner, Chancey Gardner; great-grandchildren, Travis Gardner, Trey Gardner, Tate Gardner, Ayden Gardner, Mandy McHone, Christy Reavis; great-great-grandchildren, Kaiden, Jake, and Nick; step-grandchildren, Cory Price, Jason Price, Seth Newman, Brook Cutts; step-great-grandchild, Tanner Price; sisters, Marie Prevette and Edith Tilley. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM Saturday at Gentry Family Funeral Service on Little Mountain Road in Jonesville. His funeral service will follow the visitation at 2:00 PM Saturday in the Gentry Family Chapel by Rev. Eric Morrison. Burial will follow in the Mountain Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery.
