Edna Prevette

Ronda Mrs. Edna Robbins Prevette, 82, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2015 at Maple Leaf Health Care. Mrs. Prevette was born November 12, 1932 in Surry County to Paul and Leona Day Robbins. She was a member of Maple Springs Baptist Church, as well as the Chapter of Order of Eastern Star Chapter 233 for 50 years, and a member of the Oasis Shrine Temple in Charlotte. Mrs. Prevette enjoyed gardening and traveling. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Prevette was preceded in death by six sisters, Lucille (Johnny) Couch, Leona (Kelly) Wishon, Audrey (Lee) Gentry, Vena (Virgil) Price, Evelyn (Hugh) Sigmon, and Jean (Robert) Hunsucker; three brothers, Arlie (Beulah) Robbins, Charlie Paul Robbins, and Donald Robbins; a son-in-law, Donnie Wagoner; and a brother-in-law, Bill Setzer. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Howard Edward Prevette; two children, Larry Holyfield and Faye Wagoner; two grandchildren, Rachel Holyfield and Josh (Michelle) Wagoner; five great grandchildren, Gabe, Piper, Eli, Sunshine, and Enoch; one God Child, LeeAnna Earp; one sister, Lois Setzer; one brother, Ray (Shirley) Robbins; one sister-in-law, Eunice Robbins; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at 2:00PM at Maple Springs Baptist Church with Brother Curtis Ponder officiating. Burial will follow in Ronda Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Maple Springs Baptist Church Building Fund, 150 Maple Springs Church Road Ronda, NC 28670. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Maple Leaf Health Care and the 4th Floor Nurses at Iredell Memorial Hospital for all the loving care shown to Mrs. Prevette.
