Larry Joe Castevens

Hamptonville Mr. Larry Joe Castevens, 66, passed away Saturday, May 17, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Castevens was born January 19, 1949 in Surry County to James and Cora Wood Castevens. He enjoyed working on lawnmowers and going fishing. In addition to his parents, Mr. Castevens was preceded in death by a son, Jason Castevens. He is survived by three sons, Michael Castevens, Joe Castevens, and Matt (Kimberly) Castevens; twelve grandchildren, Brian, Elizabeth, Logan, Jacob, Cody, Ethan, Hailey, Cora, James, Khloee, Cheyanne, and Jeanette Castevens; two great grandchildren, McKenzie Lea Brown and Kaylie Danielle Castevens; one sister, Dorothy (David) Willard; and two brothers, Bobby (Mae) Castevens and Bill Castevens. A graveside service will be conducted Monday, May 18, 2015 at 3:00PM at Little Richmond Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30PM at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville prior to the service. The family wishes to thank the staff of Forsyth Medical Center and the members of White Plains Baptist Church for all the love, care, and prayers.
