Church Yadkinville - Gilbert Nelson Church, 77, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born October 20, 1937 in Yadkin County to the late Melvin Elbert Church and Ella Day Church. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Edward Church, Clyde Church, and Dale Church. Surviving is his wife, Mary Blevins Church; children, David Nelson Church, Sharon Church (Shawn) Branch; grandchildren, Garrett Church, Josh Church, Cory Church, Michael Branch, John Branch, Yadira Branch, Samuel Branch; sisters, Lessie Blevins, Barbara Broomfield, Minnie Gordon, Elaine (Walt) Johnson; brother, Elbert (Dorothy) Church. His funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 29, 2015 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville. Burial will follow at Yadkin Memorial Garden. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, one hour prior to the service, at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.
