Clarence David Brown

Brown Boonville- Mr. Clarence David Brown, 61, of US Highway 67 passed away Sunday, June 7, 2015 at the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. He was born September 8, 1953 in Surry County to the late Shannon and Dorothy Beamer Brown. David was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving with the United States Marine Corp for 4 years. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Annette Miller. Surviving are his children, Shane (Desiree) Brown of Hamptonville; Leilani Brown of Hawaii; Dustin (Krystal Rubin) Brown of Hawaii; a brother, Jimmy (Shen) Brown of Yadkinville; a sister, Diane (Mike) Phillips of East Bend; 9 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. His funeral service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at the Gentry Family Chapel by Rev. Kelly Geise and Chaplain Greg Anderson. Burial will follow in the Charity Baptist Church Cemetery with Full Military Honors by Yadkin VFW Post 10346.
