John Dale Waters

Mocksville Mr. John "Dale" Waters, 82, passed away Monday, June 22, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Waters was born November 21, 1932 in Greene County, Arkansas to Forrest and Ola Waters. In addition to his parents, Mr. Waters was preceded in death by a grandson, Justin Purkey. He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Betty King Waters; six children, Rodney (Melissa) Purkey, Vickie (Bill) Driscoll, Robert (Ginger) Purkey, Ronald Waters, Suzanne (Mike) Gallant, and Tim Waters; nine grandchildren, Rachael, Cathryn, Jessy, Heather, Rhonda, Timothy, Chi, Josh, and Jenny; eleven great grandchildren, Dillion, Reginald, Christian, Chilon, Timothy, Tray, Genevie, Dakota, Wes, Mandy, and Joshlyn; one brother, Sherman (Nettie) Waters; and one sister, Linda (John) Maynard. A funeral service will be conducted Thursday, June 25, 2015 at 11:00AM at Courtney Baptist Church with Dr. Richard Capps officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow on Monday, June 28, 2015 at Hamilton Memorial Gardens in Westfield, Indiana. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Waters family.
