Davis Eugene Vestal

Davis Eugene Vestal, 67, passed away July 4, 2015. He was born in Surry County June 6, 1948 to the late Hugh and Maude Mosteller Vestal. Mr. Vestal Served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Carol Holcomb; a brother Harold Vestal; a grandson Dillon Vestal. Surviving are his wife Carol Evans Vestal; two sons Cory Vestal, Patrick Vestal; grandchildren Brianna Vestal, Braydon Vestal; special friend Phyllis Shore Vestal; four sisters Mattie Kimmer, Eva Holcomb, Bonnie Reynolds, Frances Vestal; two brothers Jay lee Vestal and James Vestal. The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm Wednesday July 8, 2015 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Jonesville. His funeral will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday July 8, 2015 following the visitation in the Gentry Family Chapel by Rev. Paul Stewart with full Military Honors by the NC National Guard and the VFW Post 10346 following the service. Burial will follow at Victory Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.
