Kay Frances Nixon Rice

Kay Frances Rice died peacefully in her sleep on the morning of July 5, 2015 at Hugh Chatham Nursing Home. She was born in Yadkin County on June 2, 1941 to the late Dan Edgar and Ennis Marie Cockerham Nixon. She attended Elkin Valley Baptist Church until her health declined. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Forrest Rice, a daughter Dawn Webster and a son, Craig Marion. She is survived by two grandsons Joshua (Andrea) Webster, Nicholas (Elizabeth) Webster; great granddaughter Kailei Webster; two sisters Carolyn Nixon, Claudette Sprinkle; three nephews Joel (Elizabeth) Sprinkle, Jonathan (Kristi) Sprinkle, Jay (Michelle) Sprinkle. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Thursday July 9, 2015 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Jonesville. Her funeral will be at 2:00 PM following the visitation on Thursday by the Dr. Johnny Blevins. Burial will follow at Mountain Park Cemetery.
