Boonville Nellie Casstevens Caudle Vestal, 94, left her earthly home and entered her heavenly home on July 11th, 2015 at Willowbrook Rehabilitation Center. Born July 27th, 1920 to Moffett and Russia Sizemore Casstevens, Nellie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and avid homemaker. She sewed, cooked, and was famous in the Lightning Cross area for her homemade chocolate and coconut pies. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Vestal was preceded in death by her first husband William Glenn Caudle, a WW2 veteran; her second husband, Thomas Richard Vestal; three sisters; and two brothers. Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Linda Caudle Pinnix (Roy) and Karen Caudle Reece (Larry); her grandchildren, Regina Reece Barney (Denny), William Dwayne Reece (Nina Branson), Ginger Pinnix McCann, and Alyson Pinnix; her great grandchildren, Karra Reece, Laura Barney, Dakota McCann, Will Barney; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. The family will receive friends Monday, July 13th from 6:00pm to 8:30pm at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville, NC. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 14th at 11:00am at the Gentry Family Funeral Service Chapel by Brother Lawrence Warden and Pastor Robert Wiles. Burial will follow in the Deep Creek Friends Meeting cemetery. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff at Willowbrook Rehab and Nursing for all the loving care given to Mrs. Vestal.
