William Edward Holleman

William Edward Holleman, 90, passed away Tuesday July 21, 2015. He was born October 15, 1924 in Davie County to the late Bennett and Sencie Swaim Holleman. Mr. Holleman served in the US Army during World War II. He was a member of Sweet Home Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Lena Gregory Holleman; and eight siblings. Surviving are his children Judy (Tony) Garris, James "Bud" (Sherry) Holleman, Charles (Lou) Holleman, Donald (Vicky) Holleman, Michael (Deborah) Holleman; ten grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren, six great- great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Friday July 24, 2015 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. His funeral will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday July 25, 2015 at Sweet Home Baptist Church by Rev. Gary Blaclock, and Rev. Joe Souther. He will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery by the NC National Guard and the VFW Post 10346. The family would like to say a very special thanks to the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice for the loving care given to Mr. Holleman.
