James Junior Vestal

Vestal Jonesville - James "Junior" Vestal, 92, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born February 15, 1923 in Yadkin County to the late James Vestal and Flora Haynes Vestal. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Ivey Vestal; sisters, Lillian Groce, Miner Marshall, Mallie Weatherman, Angie Groce, Myrtle Billings Nance, Gracie Collins, Jessie Lee Chappell. Surviving is his wife, Odessa Qusinberry Vestal; grandson, Michael Collins; several nieces and nephews; special neighbors and friends, Freddie and Suetta Canterbury, Steven and Angela Walker, Nickalus Walker. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at Fall Creek Baptist Church by the Rev. James Pardue. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Fall Creek Baptist Church. The family would like to thank all of his caretakers, Resse Billips, Sonya Floyd, Hazel Harris, Joan Hinson, Crystal Hutchens, Linda Lyons, Robin Martin, Kim Mcguire, and Connie Royall for all the love and care shown to Junior.
