John Calvin Durham

John Calvin Durham, 83, passed away Friday August 14, 2015. Mr. Durham was born February 3, 1932 to the late Walter and Lou Vettie Jolly Durham. Mr. Durham served in the US Army during the Korean War; he was a member of Union Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Martha Raye Howard Durham. Mr. Durham was one of thirteen siblings. Surviving are his children Rebecca Welborn, Timothy (Kathi) Durham, Nancy (Kevin) Wilson, Charles Durham; grandchildren Todd Wilson, William (Brittany) Welborn, Patrick Welborn, Douglas Durham; great-grandchildren Aaron Durham, Hannah Durham, and Matthew Welborn. The family will receive friends from 2-3 PM Sunday August 16, 2015 at Union Baptist Church. His service will be held at 3:00 following the visitation at Union Baptist Church by Rev. Kenny Pardue. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with full Military Honors by the NC National Guard and the VFW Post 10346.
