Calvin Baxter Smith

Calvin Baxter Smith passed away Saturday August 15, 2015. He was born October 18, 1924 to the late Thomas Dewey and Edna Isaacs Smith. Mr. Smith served with the US Navy during World War II. He was retired from R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company. Surviving are his children Douglas (Ann) Smith, Debbie (Lacy) Walthall, Terri Hudson; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; two sisters Flossie Shamel and Ada Williams. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday at Gospel Light Baptist Church in Walkertown. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Gospel Light Baptist Church 890 Walkertown Gutrie Rd. Winston-Salem, NC 27101. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Smith family.
