Estelle Shore Nance August 23, 2015 Pfafftown - Estelle Shore Nance, 78, passed away peacefully Sunday morning August 23, 2015 at her daughter's home in Clemmons. She was born and raised in Hamptonville, NC on May 11, 1937 to the late Roy and Opal Johnson Shore. She retired from Forsyth Hospital after 37 years as a nurse but continued working years later to provide home care and assistance to several special friends. Estelle enjoyed spending time with her family, staying active with "The Sunshine Girls," and frequent trips to Oak Island. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Clyde Winters; second husband, Harold Nance; her eldest daughter, Karasann Winters; and her sister, Louise Hager. Survivors include her daughters, Vicky (Ron) Dagenhardt of Clemmons and Gwen Nance (Mitch Hoglen) of Clemmons; grandson, Mike (Brooklyn) Winters of Garner; granddaughters Chastity (Dave) Bennett of Winston-Salem and Jessica (Daniel) Crouse of Lexington; great grandchildren Barrett and Ashley Glen Winters of Garner, Rylee and Makenzie Bennett of Winston-Salem, and Griffin Crouse of Lexington. She is also survived by her brother, Lester (Thelma) Shore; sister, Edna (Gene) Miller; brother, Norman (Sue) Shore; and her special friend Jim. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to "The Sunshine Girls" for their unconditional love and encouragement throughout the years. The family would also like to thank Hospice & Palliative Care Center of Winston-Salem for their care and support. A celebration of life will be held at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville on Wednesday, August 26 at 3:00 pm with Rev Gary Byrum officiating. The family will visit with friends immediately following the service at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.
