Willard Yadkinville- On Sunday morning August 23, 2015 George Andrew Willard, Jr., 75 gained his angel wings. George passed away unexpectedly at Medical Park Hospital in Winston-Salem. He was born October 12, 1939 in Davidson County to George Andrew Willard, Sr. and Martha Eulalia Reid Willard. George grew up in Davidson County and lived there until he met the love of his life, Faye Snow Willard whom he married November 9, 1963. George and Faye were married for 24 years until the Lord called Faye home. George was preceded in death by his parents, George and Eulalia; his brother, Ray; Half-Brothers, Holland, Troy, Mac, Hobert, Zeno, Jake; his wife, Faye; grandson, Nathan; father and mother-in-law, Cleve and Tishie Snow. He was a member of Gospel Way Baptist Church, Past-President and Treasurer of Courtney Ruritan Club, Past Teasurer of Piedmont District Ruritan and Past National Director of Ruritan National. He and his wife, Faye were former owners of Flowerland Florist and he was present owner of Willard Grave and Farm Service and has served many funeral homes and churches in Yadkin, Davie, Rowan, Iredell, and surrounding counties for many years. George loved the work he did of digging graves and taking care of his cows. He was a special man that has touched so many peoples lives, he was always there to help anyone that needed him. He leaves to cherish his memory a daughter and son-in-law, Jeanne and Mike Bolick of Yadkinville; a son and daughter-in-law, George "Andy" and April Willard of Lexington. Two grandchildren, Madison Faircloth and fiancé, Chris Price and Mac Faircloth of Yadkinville. A sister, Faye Lawson (Jr. Spry) of Winston-Salem; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Billy and Vicky Snow, Ronald and Lucille Shore; nieces and nephews, Roger Whisenhut, Albert Reid, Debbie Malloy, Kathy Applebee, Tammy Smith, Jeff Shore, Mike Shore, Dana Martin and Brian Shore; also great-nieces and great-nephews, Brittany Granger, Kelsey Malloy, Tanner Bowles, Kayla and Megan Smith, Audrey and Annabelle Shore, Lindsey Ray, Logan Martin, Noah and Karah Shore. The family will receive friends from 5:30-6:30 PM Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. His funeral service will follow the visitation at 6:30 PM Wednesday in the Gentry Family Chapel with Dr. Allen Barker officiating. A graveside service and interment will follow the service in Deep Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, 2401 Old Stage Road, Yadkinville with Dr. Rick Page, officiating. Flowers will be accepted or memorials can be made to New Horizons Adult Day Services, PO Box 1969, Yadkinville, NC 27055. The family would like to express their gratitude to all the physicians, nurses, and staff of Novant Health Medical Center and Medical Park Hospital for all the loving care given to Daddy.
