Margie Ellen Hoots

Yadkinville Mrs. Margie Ellen Brown Hoots, 82, passed away Monday, September 7, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. Hoots was born March 15, 1933 in Forsyth County to Samuel and Rachel Dillon Brown. She worked as a CNA for over 20 years and served many patients who loved her dearly. She was somewhat of an amateur radio enthusiast in the 70's and 80's, her handle being "Lady June Bug". In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hoots was preceded in death by her second husband, Junior Caudle; her third husband, Bobby Gray Hoots, Sr.; one sister, Ruth Spainhour; and three brothers, Lindsey, Robert, and Leroy Brown. She is survived by one son, Don Nelson (Nicole Hutter); one granddaughter, Casey (Alan) Proano; and a special K-9 companion, Chico. A funeral service will be conducted Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 2:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service Chapel in Yadkinville. Burial will follow at Yadkin Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
