Michaels Yadkinville - Billy Dale Michaels, 64, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2015. He was born on September 15, 1950 in Surry County to the late Bonson Harding Mickles and Mary Lucille Smith Mickles. Bill was an avid Atlanta Braves, Duke Basketball, and NASCAR fan, especially a very big Richard Petty fan. Bill had over 40 years of service at Unifi. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Danny Michaels. Surviving is his wife, Debbie Newsome Michaels; children, Temple (Bryan) Kellermann, Dale Michaels; step-children, Tina Engebretson, Billy (April) Sapp; nine grandchildren; sisters, Bonnie (David) Hutchins, Edith (Buddy) Levan, Shirley Freeland (Roger) Winebarger, Linda Gail (David) Lafferty, Ruth (David) Stewart; brothers, Bobby (Wanda) Mickles and Denny (Linda) Mickles; several nieces and nephews. His funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 13, 2015 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville by the Rev. Bill Hale and Rev. Lenuel Lusk. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Baptist Cemetery with full military honors by the Yadkin VFW Post 10346 and the NC National Guard. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday prior to the service at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Memorials can be made to Mt.
