Jay Randleman

Mr. Jay Randleman, 89, passed away Saturday September 12, 2015. Mr. Randleman was born September 22, 1925 in Wilkes County to Franklin and Jennie Carter Randleman. He retired from RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company with 25 years of service. Mr. Randleman was a member of Sweet Home Baptist Church. He enjoyed tinkering with his old cars. In addition to his parents, Mr. Randleman was preceded in death by his wife of 69 years, Arthell Gregory Randleman; two sons, Larry Joe Randleman and Steve Randleman; two sisters, Mamie Ayers, Ethel Randleman; four brothers, Grover, Floyd, N. D., and Odell Randleman. He is survived by three children, Ray (Sandra) Randleman, Allen (Norma) Randleman, and Janie (Bob) Gregory; three grandchildren, Shaunda Randleman, Tina Dula, and Becky Doss; two step grandchildren, Brent Pugh and Shannon Brooks; and two great grandchildren, Amber and Duncan Dula; five step great grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted 3:00 PM Monday September 14, 2015 at Sweet Home Baptist Church with Dr. Hubert Wishon officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, PO Box 1267 Yadkinville, NC 27055.
