Wayne Shore

Mr. Wayne A. Shore, 95, passed away Monday, September 14, 2015 at his home. Mr. Shore was born November 26, 1919 in Yadkin County to Anderson and Carrie Steelman Shore. He graduated from East Bend High School and attended NC State University, graduating in 1951. Mr. Shore was a tobacco farmer and lived in Venezuela for 40 years with his wife Bradley and their two children. He attended Baltimore UMC and supported his community in many ways. Mr. Shore devoted his life to helping family and he returned to his homestead for the last ten years. In addition to his parents, Mr. Shore was preceded in death by his wife, Margarite Bradley Hale Shore; and several siblings. He is survived by two daughters, Karen (William) Hopper and Debrah (Thomas) Blase; and five grandchildren, Wayne Shore (Brooklynn) Hopper, Anderson Woods (Bennette) Hopper, Lauren Bradley Hopper, Julia Felice Blase, and Charles Edward Blase. A funeral service will be conducted Monday, September 21, 2015 at 1:00PM at Baltimore UMC with Rev. Kelly Geise officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Yadkin Christian Ministries, 128 Quaker Avenue East Bend NC 27018.
