Nancy "Carol" Cheek

Jonesville Mrs. Nancy "Carol" Eller Cheek, 75, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Woltz Hospice Home. Mrs. Cheek was born November 7, 1939 in Yadkin County to Francis and Earlee Sparks Eller. She was a faithful member of Swan Creek Baptist Church and worked as a beautician for 55 years. Mrs. Cheek enjoyed playing the piano, but most of all, spending time with her children and grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cheek was preceded in death by two sisters, Linda Poplin and Jan Key. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Samuel Ray Cheek; four children, Michele (Garry) Manaraze, Joel (Amy) Cheek, Christy (Rob) Jenkins, and Shawn (Julie) Cheek; and fifteen grandchildren, Mackenzie, Meredith, Cameron, and Cazamaro Manaraze, Anna Reagan and Luke Cheek, Caroline and Christian Jenkins, Matthew, Meagan, Elizabeth, Samuel, Hannah, Rebekah, and James Cheek. A funeral service will be conducted Sunday, September 27, 2015 at 4:00PM at Swan Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Bishop officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:30PM at the church prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27017. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Woltz Hospice Home for the loving care shown to Mrs. Cheek and her family.
