Irene Wall Johnson

Johnson Dobson - Peggy "Irene" Wall Johnson, 79, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Woltz Hospice Home. She was born March 29, 1936 in Surry County to the late Roby Dallas Wall and Agnes Edwards Wall. Irene was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, she was also a member at Mt. Herman Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Franklin Johnson; sisters, Effie Vogler, Vicie McHone; brother, James Wall. Surviving are her daughters, Peggy Steiner, Teresa (Terry) Woodring; grandchildren, Renee (William) Moody, Amy (Ricky) Hall, Tina (Denny) Chambers, Josh (Allie) Woodring, Ashley (Chris) Gragtmans; great grandchildren, Austin Wood, Lyndsey Goss, Wesley Wood, Chris Goss, Carmen Greenlee, Brayden Woodring, Cooper Woodring; sisters, Thelma Simpson, Ila Key, Eva Vogler, Jane (Ronnie) Vogler; brother, Willis (Margaret) Wall. Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, September 28, 2015 at Anchored in Jesus Baptist Church by the Rev. Larry Stone and the Rev. Marty Reece. Burial will follow at Mt. Herman Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Monday, prior to the service, at Anchored in Jesus Baptist Church.
