Yadkinville Mr. Ned Vaughn Boger, 86, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Boger was born November 13, 1928 in Davie County to John and Mary Summers Boger. He worked at Ingersoll Rand for many years before retirement. In addition to his parents, Mr. Boger was preceded in death by his first wife Ruby Naylor Boger; a grandson, Brandon Boger; a sister, Johnsie Boger; and a brother, Clay Boger. He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Woodard Boger; three children, Johnny (Renee) Boger, Brenda Mecham, Lisa Stumbo; six step children, Diane (Dennis) Shore, Lorraine (Randy) Hardison, Vickie (Jimmy) Tucker, Debbie (Kenneth) Tucker, Tammy (Tommy) Brown, and Tony (Gina) Buelin; seven grandchildren, Juanita Lagrone, Nina (Timmy) Rice, Danny (Donna) Testa, Ethan (Allison) Boger, Patrick Boger, Dylan Stumbo and Scotty Stumbo; eighteen step grandchildren; ten great grandchildren, Heather, Rachel, Brannon, Braedon, Ti, Devon, Hunter, Gage, Reid, and Luke; nineteen step great-grandchildren; one great great-grandson, Ethan; and one sister, Barbara Boger. A funeral service will be conducted Friday, October 2, 2015 at 2:00PM at Northwood Baptist Church with Dr. Allen Barker officiating. Burial will follow at Chestnut Grove UMC cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Northwood Baptist Church. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Forsyth Medical Center, 9th floor and Palliative Care, especially nurse Sarah, for the loving care given to Mr. Boger.
