Marion Milton Swann

Swann Boonville - Rev. Marion Milton Swann, 76, went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 5, 2015. He was born July 19, 1939, in Mitchell County to the late Norman Lee Swann and Bessie Knight Swann. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Norman Willis Swann; sister, Amanda Ruth Phelps. Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Helen Osteen Swann; daughters, Dosha Swann (Jim) Teachey, Ramelle Martha Swann; grandchildren, Lydia Lynn Teachey, Granger Lee Teachey; sisters, Bettie Lou Gunter, Julia Swann Pittman; several nieces, nephews, and other family members. His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 10, 2015, at Boonville United Methodist Church by the Rev. Jenny Stewart, the Rev. Mark Barden, and the Rev. David Rorie. The family will receive friends after the service on Saturday in the Fellowship Hall of Boonville United Methodist Church. Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 12, 2015, at Spruce Pine City Cemetery in Mitchell County. The family would like to thank friends, family, and caregivers for all the love and support received during Marion's illness.
