Janette Brooks

Yadkinville Mrs. Janette Nichols Brooks, 83, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at Yadkin Nursing Center. Mrs. Brooks was born January 9, 1932 in Wilkes County to Quincy Nichols and Violet Nichols Welborn. She was a faithful member of Mtn. View Baptist Church. Mrs. Brooks loved bluegrass music, clogging, and intensely loved her grandchildren and animals. Rejoice in knowing that she is reunited with the love of her life, our father, her husband, and into the presence of her Savior. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brooks was preceded in death by her loving husband, Paul Fredrick Brooks. She is survived by her four children, Ben (Lisa) Brooks, Beth (Larry) Gardner, Larry (Jessie) Brooks, and Phil (Cheryl) Brooks; ten grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted Friday, October 9, 2015 at 11:00AM at Mtn. View Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Tucker officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mtn. View Baptist Church Building Fund, 1232 Mountain View Church Rd, Hamptonville, NC 27020. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Yadkin Nursing Center for the loving care shown to Mrs. Brooks.
