Linda Janice Cranfill

Hamptonville Mrs. Linda Janice Southard Cranfill, 66, passed away Thursday, October 08, 2015 at her home. Mrs. Cranfill was born November 30, 1948 in Surry County to Ovid and Callie Mae Burton Southard. She was a member of Peacehaven Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cranfill was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Bradford Cranfill. She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Joseph Hal Cranfill; one daughter, Renee (Tim) Hartman; one granddaughter, Haley Hartman; her K-9 companion, Chloe; one sister, Donese (Ted) Medley; and one nephew, Chris Medley. A funeral service will be conducted Sunday, October 11, 2015 at 5:00PM at Peacehaven Baptist Church with Rev. Jon Bowman and Rev. George Evans officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the church members of Peacehaven for their love, support and prayers and to Gentiva Hospice for the loving care given to Linda during her illness.
