Angell East Bend - Mrs. Ethel K. Angell, 97, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born November 1, 1917 in Stokes County to the late Sebron and Lillie Stone Kallam. Mrs. Angell was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker for her family. She worked for several years as the cook at the Pollirosa in King. She was also a faithful member of Friendship Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of over 50 years, Vivan L. Angell in 1992 and by 4 brothers and a sister. Surviving are her 3 children, Jimmy Angell and wife, Barbara of East Bend; Gary Angell and wife, Jane of Kernersville; Vivan Dale Angell; 4 grandchildren, Reggie Angell and wife, Alesia; Rex Angell and wife, Karen; Kimberly Clewis and husband, Joey; Heather Lombardi, and husband, Patrick; 8 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; 3 special friends, including her special friend, Tonnie Thomas, Bobbie Crissman, Audrey Hardy; and all of her friends at Share-A-Home in Boonville , where everyone is treated as family, and she has so many fond memories while being a resident. The family will receive friends from 5:00-6:00 PM Saturday at Friendship Baptist Chruch in East Bend. Her funeral service will follow the visitation at 6:00 PM Saturday in Friendship Baptist Church by Rev. Ray Davis. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
