Wagoner Jonesville Heaven gained the sweetest angel, Mary Jean Shaw Wagoner on Friday October 9th 2015, at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital. She was born October 24, 1927 to the late Haughty Harrison and Elsie Benton Shaw. She was the last of the 9 siblings to pass away. She graduated from Lees McRae College. Jean spent her entire life living and working on her family's farm. Even setting tobacco this past summer. When she wasn't on the farm working she loved being in the kitchen cooking for her family. She would never let anyone leave her house without eating; always making sure her brother "Tat", Donna and Ed always had something to eat. She also enjoyed quilting and was in a quilting group for many years, that brought her many good times and memories. She married the love of her life, Allen Wagoner on December 24, 1952. She was a member of Swaims Baptist Church and was faithful up until her death. Her favorite scripture was 23rd of Psalm. In addition to her parents she was perceeded in death by her brothers Roy Ernest, Hiram Paul, Lonnie Hugh "Lon", Lewis Daniel "Tat" Shaw. Her sisters, Luda Lorene "Eupe" Nichols, Kizzy Kathleen Shaw, June Elsie Shaw, Yvonne Lee Shaw. Her husband Allen Henry Wagoner, two sons, Tommy Allen and Martha Wagoner, and Paul Franklin Wagoner both of Jonesville survive her. Four grandchildren Josh and Erica Wagoner of Boonville, Cassi and Ron King of Charlotte, Russ Wagoner and fiancé Andrea Brown of Jonesville, and Emily Wagoner of Jonesville. Four great-grand children Arden and Curan Wagoner of Boonville, and Colton and Piper King of Charlotte. A brother-in-law Ed Nichols. Her nieces Tammy Shaw Stanley, and Donna Bryant. And nephew Johnny Shaw. The funeral service will be held at 3 PM Wednesday at Swaims Baptist Church by Rev. Jerry Shelton. She will lie in state 30 minutes prior to service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to8 on Tuesday at Gentry Family Funeral Home in Jonesville.
