Thelma Dull Wall

Wall East Bend - Thelma Dull Wall, 89, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Yadkin Nursing Care Center. She was born February 13, 1926 in Yadkin County to the late Wiley "Hubert" Dull and Gracie Mae Hunter. Thelma graduated from Yadkinville High School and attended Twin City Business School. She owned and retired from Wall Bookkeeping Service. Before owning her own business she worked many years for J.A. Fagg and Son. After retirement she continued to enjoy her hobbies: fishing at the lake, quilting, sewing handbags, and making jams, jellies, and fried apple pies. Thelma was a member of Prospect United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Ray J. Wall; great grandson, Bradley Mitchell; sister, Marie Wooten; brother, Harry Gray Dull. Surviving are her children, James (Hilda) Wall, Johnsie (David) Hale; grandchildren, Shannon Mitchell; Hunter Hale; great granddaughter, Michelle Mitchell; sisters, Carolyn (James) Long, Brenda Spillman; brother-in-law's, Edsel Wooten, Clyde (Libby) Wall; several nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville by the Rev. Sarah Kalish and the Rev. Robin Fitzgerald. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. prior to the service on Thursday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Burial will follow at Prospect United Methodist Church. The family would like to thank Magnolias Over Yadkin and Yadkin Nursing Care Center for all the love and care shown to Thelma. Memorials can be made to Prospect United Methodist Church, 3541 Smithtown Road, East Bend, NC 27018. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Wall family.
