Sandra Vestal Groce

Groce Yadkinville - Sandra Kay Vestal Groce, 67, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2015 at her home. She was born April 3, 1948 in Surry County to the late Colonel Martin "Bob" Vestal and Josephine Laffoon "Jo" Vestal. Sandra was a special lady who had the ability to make you laugh, have a good time and provide encouragement to all who knew her. As her Technology ability increased she became a wiz on Facebook and enjoyed catching up with old friends and making new friends. She enjoyed cooking and trying new recipes. Sandra had the gift to "talk" to everyone she met. She will be missed but will live forever in our hearts. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Ronda, NC. Sandra was a homemaker and assisted her husband on the farm. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Herman and Bessie Laffoon, Charity Pinnix Vestal; son-in-law, Rick Anglin; brother-in-law, Rick Bledsoe. Surviving is the love of her life, Billy Ray "Bill" Groce, which she married on November 2, 1964; children, Joseph Martin "Joey" Groce, Tracy Dianne Groce Anglin (Theofanis KaKouras); granddaughters, Alexandra Adaire "Allie" Anglin, Madeline Kate "Maddie" Anglin, Aubrey Paige "Aub" Weaver; sister, Cheryl Vestal Bledsoe; several nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville by the Rev. Randy Johnson and Dr. Steve Fowler. Burial will follow at Swaims Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville, which is serving the Groce family.
