Larry Kent Wall

Wall Larry Kent Wall, 71 of East Bend, North Carolina, passed away in his home Thursday, October 29, 2015. He was born on February 5, 1944 to Evan James and Roxie Maybelle Davis Wall of East Bend, North Carolina. He retired from Westinghouse where he worked as a drafting engineer. He was the youngest of eight brothers and three sisters. Larry was preceded in death by his son, Jeremy Kent Wall in 1984 at age 13 and seven brothers and two sisters. He has one remaining sister, Wilma Joy Wall Hoots of Courtney. Much of Larry's childhood was spent working, hunting, fishing and playing on the farm, where they grew fruits, vegetables, grains and tobacco and produced milk. As a teenager, he enjoyed cruising in his '58 Chevy Impala and spending time with the love of his life, Gloria Dean Leonard. On May 2, 1963, Gloria became his wife. On November 1, 1964, their daughter, Lory Annette Wall, was born. Lory, now Lory Wells, is a Realtor and appraiser with her own business in Winston-Salem. She has a daughter, Audrea Leigh Wells Stevens, who is married to Joshua Stevens. Lory also has a son, Landon Adam Wells of Winston-Salem, who has two children, Bryson Adam Wells (age 5) and Ryla Naomi Wells (age 2) and a Yorkie named Ernie. Larry will be remembered as an honest, hard-working man of integrity and a loving, devoted son, brother, friend, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. His funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 1, 2015 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville by the Rev. Bill Hale. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. one hour prior to the service on Sunday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Larry's earthly body will be laid to rest at New Home United Methodist Church in East Bend. His new, heavenly body will spend eternity in Heaven, enjoying time with his son, parents, siblings and other family and friends who have gone home to be with the Lord.
