Margaret Kathleen Allen

Mocksville Mrs. Margaret Kathleen Gunter Allen, 85, passed away Friday, November 13, 2015 at her home. Mrs. Allen was born December 3, 1929 in Yadkin County to Clifton and Daisy Baity Gunter. She was a member of Turners Creek Baptist Church for 73 years. Mrs. Allen enjoyed antiques, fishing, and yard sales. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her husband, William Junior Allen; one son, Bobby Allen; one sister, Doris Trivette; and two brothers, Wiley Gunter and L.C. Gunter. She is survived by two children, Barry (Sonya) Allen and Carolyn (Leon) Fulton; six grandchildren, Chad, Matt, Jake, Taylor, Tonya, and McKenzie; seven great grandchildren, Brady, Alyssa, Chloe, Lawsyn, Caden, Parker, and Avery; one sister, Martha Lee Stanley; and her loving cat, Katie. A funeral service will be conducted Monday, November 16, 2015 at 11:00AM at Turners Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Welch, Rev. David Maynard, and Rev. Allen Barker officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Ruby Johnson, Ms. Rachel, Teresa, Ace Unit at Wake Forest Baptist and Kate B. Reynolds and Hospice of Davie for all the loving care given to Mrs. Allen.
