JE Gardner, 80, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2015 at his home. He was born June 25, 1935 in Yadkin County to the late Charles Clifford Gardner and Husie Adams Gardner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, Eddie Dean Gardner; granddaughters, Amelia Cleary, Ava Cleary; sister, Alyce Muncus. Surviving are is his wife, Mary Alice Gardner; children, Vickie (Randy) Call, Clifton (Bretta) Gardner, Joel (Gina) Gardner, Beth (Frankie) Cleary; grandchildren, Erica (Ross) Johnson, Ryan (Lauren) Call, Kelsey Call, Cydnie Gardner, Jade Gardner, Nikki Cleary, Brooke Gardner; great grandchildren, Hawkins Johnson, Nora Call, Bransom Call; sister, Doretha Wagoner. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Dennyville Baptist Church with the Rev. Joel Riley. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at Dennyville Baptist Church. Memorials can be made to Dennyville Baptist Church, 2713 Old State Hwy 60, Ronda, NC 28670.
