Anne Vanhoy

Jonesville Mrs. Margaret "Anne" Lyon Vanhoy, 69, passed away Friday, December 18, 2015 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. Vanhoy was born December 12, 1946 in Surry County to Henry and Norma Caudill Lyon. She retired from Chatham Manufacturing after 25 years of service. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Vanhoy was preceded in death by her first husband, Thurmond Tilley; and a grandson, Brandon Payne. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Charlie Frank Vanhoy; a son, Gary T. (Laura) Tilley; a daughter, Nancy (Jeff) Payne; two step sons, Donnie (Kristi) Vanhoy and Phillip Vanhoy (Stacey); six grandchildren, Greg Tilley, Megan Payne, Thalassa (Adam) Wilmoth, Bradley Vanhoy, Amber (Kevin) King, Kelsey Vanhoy and Jarrett Vanhoy; five great grandchildren; and one brother, Joe Henry (Lois) Lyon. A funeral service will be conducted Monday, December 21, 2015 at 2:00PM atBible Baptist Church with Rev. Dwayne Lankford officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service in Jonesville. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Susan Hines, Dr. Philip Keith, and the nursing staff of Forsyth Medical Center for all the loving care given to Mrs. Vanhoy during her illness.
