Mabel Williams Carter

Mabel Williams Carter, 83, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 19, 2015. She was born January 11, 1932 in Yadkin County to the late Joy Clinton Williams and Sally Hobson Williams. Mabel was a member of Mt. Carmel Friends Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and a loving Christian woman. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Edna Hudson. Surviving is her husband of 65 years, Alvis Herman Carter; children, Jerry (Vickie) Carter, Wanda (Joe) Burchette, Sharon (Junior) Hutchins; grandchildren, Michael Wayne Davis, JoAnn Burchette, Lee (Lindsay) Burchette; great granddaughter, Raelyn Potts; sisters, Violet (Clifton) Rutledge, Fadean Hawks, and Charlotte Willard; several nieces and nephews. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 22, 2015 at Mt. Carmel Friends Church by the Rev. Jeff Farmer. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, prior to the service at the church. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Carter Family.
