Stanley Hamptonville - "Thanks to Calvary, I don't live here anymore" - Mr. Stevie Aire Stanley, went home to be with his Lord and Savior unexpectedly Tuesday December 29, 2015. If ever a man left an impact on this world, he did, but he would want you to know it was ALL GOD. He was born May 20, 1959 to Spencer Aire and Frances McCoin Stanley. He dropped out of school his sophomore year to come home and help his Mom and Dad out with the family business, Stanley Used Cars. Which he later became the owner and operator of. He was so proud to be the third generation to own and run the family business. He was and will forever be known all up and down the east coast in the car industry. To us he is a legacy. Car business will never be the same without him. But he would tell you that it was all because God had blessed his business. Most importantly he was saved by Gods Grace so today we have comfort in knowing that we will see our husband daddy and pa again some day. He left a testimony for us of how much he loved the Lord and his life and actions showed it. God has always been the center of our home and family and those values are shown in his family. He left a love that is unexplainable but will forever be cherished. He was a charter faithful dedicated member of Anchored in Jesus Baptist Church where he served the church as a deacon, choir director and Sunday school teacher and a "pillar" of the church. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Tammy Shaw Stanley; his "girls", Heather (Shannon) Tedder of Jonesville; Amanda (Shane) Blackburn of Hamptonville; grandchildren, Bailey Madison Tedder, Steven Shaw Tedder, his namesake and first boy in 34 years; Annabelle Sue Blackburn ; brother, Randy (Shirley) Stanley; sisters, Shirley (Allen) Anglin, Annette (Joey) Burton, Penny (Michael) Benton, and Belvia (Mike) Shore; nieces Aranda (Chris) Wicker, Nicole (Timothy) Hazelwood, Brittany (James) Cox, Ashley Anglin; great-nieces and great-nephews, Camden and Adalyn Whicker, Liam and Stefan Hazelwood and Preston Cox; close friends, Rudy Holbrook, Wayne Lawson, Greg Puryear, Carl Smith, TJ Mayes, Charles Holcomb, his pastor Larry Stone and ALL his car dealer friends and many many friends. To know him was to love him. The family will receive friends from 6-9 PM Thursday at Anchored in Jesus Baptist Church of Dobson. His funeral service will be 2:00 PM Friday at Anchored in Jesus Baptist Church by Pastor Larry Stone, Rev. Ken Bowman and Brother Don Collins. He will lie in-state 30 minutes prior to the service.
