Virginia Price Kelly

HENDERSON- Mrs. Virginia Price Kelly, age 100, a resident of Oakdale Circle died Monday, January 4, 2016 at Maria Parham Medical Center. Born May 2, 1915 in Ashe County she was the daughter of the late William Joseph Price and Clyde K. Hamilton Price. She was a homemaker and longtime member of First Presbyterian Church in Henderson where she was a former choir member. Mrs. Kelly also was formerly active as a Girl Scout leader in the community. A graveside memorial service will be held Thursday, January 7, 2015 at 2 PM in the Yadkinville Cemetery by the Rev. Linda Kelly. She is survived by two daughters, Margaret K. Kelly of the home and Sarah K. Granger of Henderson; a grandson, Bryan Kelly Renn of North Myrtle Beach, SC and numerous beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Newton Gough Kelly and five siblings. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, PO Box 726, Henderson, NC 27536.
