Janet Delores Ratledge

Mocksville Mrs. Janet Delores Carter Ratledge, 75, passed away Friday, January 8, 2016 at Regency Care of Clemmons. Mrs. Ratledge was born August 22, 1940 in Surry County to Dewitt and Ida Mae Bowers Carter. She was a member of Courtney Baptist Church. Mrs. Ratledge enjoyed gardening, music and cooking. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ratledge was preceded in death by a sister, Judy Dixon. She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Kerman Ray Ratledge; two sons, Mike (Joanie) Wood and Bobby (Lisa) Wood; six grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted Monday, January 11, 2016 at 1:00PM at Courtney Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Capps officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
