James Allen Shore

Shore Hamptonville - James Allen Shore, 83, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2016. He was born May 27, 1932 in Yadkin County to the late Ernest Shore and Muriel Adams Shore. Allen drove a truck and retired from Douglas Battery and Unifi. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Allen enjoy the outdoors and working in his garden. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Betty Hudler. Surviving is his wife, Alene Moxley Shore; children, Michael Allen (Belvia) Shore, Shannon (Dana) Shore; grandchildren, Mishon Shore, Ben Shore, Maggie (Travis) Shore; great grandchild, Aubrie Shore. His graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 29, 2016 at Mitchell's Chapel United Methodist Church by the Rev. John Pillsbury, with military honors by Yadkin VFW Post 10346 and the N.C. National Guard. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.
