Richard Lawrence Lawhorn

Richard Lawrence Lawhorn, 78, passed away Saturday February 13, 2016. He was born October 16, 1937 to the late Jesse and Blanche Lawhorn. Mr. Lawhorn was a retired from the US Navy after 24 years of service and also from Parrish Tire Company after 24 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Margie Lawhorn. Surviving are his wife of 59 years Annabel Pena Lawhorn; his children Kenneth Lawhorn, Ray (Dianne) Lawhorn, Katharine Lawhorn; grandson Luke Cranfill; a brother Jack (Jean) Lawhorn. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Wednesday February 17, 2016 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. His funeral will be conducted at 2:00 PM following the visitation in the Gentry Family Chapel by Rev. Dianne Lawhorn, speaker Ray Lawhorn. Burial will follow at Yadkin Memorial Gardens with full Military Honors by the VFW Post 10346. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
